Compact and multi-component injection molding
Compact injection molding with only one component (1K) is a cost-effective way to manufacture functional plastic parts (e.g. storage boxes, containers, housing covers, large parts, etc.) with noble surfaces, precise dimensions and a large variety of products.
With multi-component injection molding, parts are made of different plastics - e.g. hard-soft connections and compact molded parts in different colors - realizable with one machine. The advantage: high-quality surfaces with a unique feel - without additional installation.
GID cavity (gas pressure process)
With GID cavity, the economical production of thick-walled, hollow plastic parts is possible without sink marks. During the injection or afterwards, gas is injected into the molded part via a needle, so that a cavity is created. Parts produced using the GID process are particularly stable, have low residual stress, are highly rigid and have less distortion. Even with thick-walled parts, good surfaces can be achieved, weight reduced and cycle times shortened.
The difference to conventional injection molding is that with gas injection technology, a filler - usually nitrogen - is injected into the plastic in a process-specific work step, so that a cavity is created in the component.
The in-mold process is an injection molding method in which decor inserted into the injection mold - e.g. Fabric, wood veneer or any printed or textured film - be back-injected. Demanding surfaces are created in just one step. Products can thus be provided with an individual branding cost-effectively and permanently.
Plastics, biomaterials and PET
SLG uses various plastics, biomaterials and PET in its production. The often underestimated plastics (polymers, polycondensates and polyadducts) offer a wealth of design and manufacturing options. We use materials made from 100% renewable raw materials, high-quality compounds with plastic components and completely biodegradable materials. Granular PET recyclate is also suitable for production using the injection molding process. By the way: All plastics used in your SLG are fully recyclable!
Thermoplastic foam casting (TFC)
TFC is suitable for thick-walled, solid and inherently stable housing parts of high-quality devices. With the help of the process sink marks and a possible delay are effectively avoided. The molded parts are particularly precise.
For designers and designers there is a high degree of design freedom. A big advantage: Since any wall thickness differences can be made without sink marks, TSG is suitable for rigid, precisely fitting constructions with high inherent stability.
